- Sustainable logistics initiatives, freight decarbonisation, and the future of electric freight transport
- The impact of EU customs reform, digitalisation, automation, and evolving compliance requirements
- Global trade trends, supply chain resilience, and future developments affecting UK freight forwarders
- Workforce development, recruitment challenges, and building the next generation of logistics professionals
- Employment law changes and business planning considerations under the Employment Rights Act 2025

The conference will feature presentations and panel discussions from a range of high-profile industry experts, including Steve Parker (BIFA Director General), HMRC representatives, Companies House, Department for Transport specialists, leading academics, logistics technology providers, and trade commentators from across the sector.
Of particular interest to Albacore Systems will be the sessions exploring Artificial Intelligence, data-driven logistics, customs modernisation, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation within freight forwarding operations.
The conference also provides extensive networking opportunities throughout both days, including exhibition areas, networking breaks, lunches, the evening drinks reception, and Gala Dinner featuring guest speakers Harry Redknapp and Tony Cottee.
We’re especially proud to see Charlie Frost from Albacore Systems participating in the panel discussion and sharing insights alongside other industry experts on the future of customs processes, digitalisation, AI, and compliance across the freight forwarding sector.
