PS Forwarding Co Ltd: Cloud Transformation Project

Albacore has successfully completed a major cloud transformation project for PS Forwarding Co Ltd, modernising their IT infrastructure and moving the business away from on‑premise servers to a secure, cloud‑first environment. 

The project fundamentally reshaped how PS Forwarding’s systems are delivered and supported. By transitioning servers, applications, and data into Albacore’s private cloud, the new solution improves availability, resilience, and scalability, while significantly reducing the overhead of maintaining on‑site infrastructure. 

As part of the deployment, users were migrated to a combination of Albacore Cloud Environment (ACE) and Albacore Cloud Remote (ACR). This provides staff with a fully managed working environment including email, office applications, secure device enrolment, and controlled access to cloud‑hosted business systems. The approach ensures users can work efficiently from company‑managed laptops while maintaining strong security controls around company data. 

The private cloud platform hosts PS Forwarding’s core business applications, delivering both backend services and secure remote application access where required. Using Albacore Cloud Remote, enrolled workstations connect securely to these resources without exposing servers directly to the internet, removing traditional attack surfaces and improving overall security. 

Security was a central focus throughout the project. Albacore implemented enhanced access controls and device‑based security policies to ensure only approved and managed devices can connect to company systems and data. Multi‑factor authentication, endpoint protection, and data protection policies were introduced to support a modern, zero‑trust style working model while still allowing flexibility for users. 

The migration was carefully planned and delivered end‑to‑end by Albacore’s engineering team. This included investigation, design, testing, user transition, and final cutover, all completed with minimal disruption to day‑to‑day operations. Throughout the process, Albacore worked closely with PS Forwarding to ensure the solution met operational requirements and was delivered to a high standard without cutting corners. 

Following completion, PS Forwarding now benefits from a more secure, resilient, and future‑ready IT platform that supports both current operations and future growth, backed by ongoing support through Albacore’s managed cloud services.
