Albacore are a Nominet tag holder for .co.uk domains and we are also approved and registered with ja.net so that we can manage .gov.uk and .ac.uk names for our customers if required.
We manage our own DNS servers and process DNS record changes for domain names we manage via our helpdesk.
We can host your domain name without hosting your website. We would work closely with web designers to achieve by pointing the appropriate DNS records to the web hosting server. The web designer then configures that server to accept web requests pointed at it for the domain name that Albacore manage. This process is harder to describe than it is to achieve, and any web designer should aware of it and able to work with us to achieve it with an Albacore managed domain.
