EMCS Planned Downtime

Please see below notification received from HMRC regarding the EMCS Service:

HMRC have provided an update regarding the work to implement the Excise Trader Data Service (ETDS) across the weekend of March 7-10, 2025.

They are now able to confirm that the Excise Movement and Control System (UK EMCS) will be unavailable for the following timeframe:

6pm on Friday 7th March until 10am on Monday 10th March

HMRC ask that where possible movements are submitted to the UK EMCS as soon as possible prior to 6pm on Friday 7th March.

Excise goods movements can continue to move via the existing fallback procedure during the outage as per the guidance. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/emcs-fallback-fallback-accompanying-document-fad

The eCustoms EMCS module will be in fallback for the duration of the downtime.
