EMCS – Coming out of Fallback – Ongoing Issues

Since coming out of Fallback today, 28th August 2024, there are still operational disruptions due to the recent HMRC update from EMCS to EMCS 4, which took place on Monday, 19th August 2024.

To mitigate these impacts and ensure the continued movement of your goods, the e-Customs system has been reinstated back into Fallback mode.

 

As the issues are not impacting ALL movements and ALL customers in the same way, your EMCS Client Connection (Polling Id at GBWK SEED level) can be set to Fallback Override Y. This will allow any Client Connection set in this way to send as normal.

 

Optional ACTION request by the customer

 

If you wish to have the Fallback Override to be set Y=Yes Please advise the service desk as soon as possible to make that change in your settings. Until that change has been made your movements will go into Fallback mode automatically.

 

Once the override has been set any NEW movements will process as normal (i.e. Not in Fallback).
