CDS Urgent System Maintenance
Urgent system maintenance will be carried out on the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) that may affect the Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS).
From 10am to 10:30am Tuesday 26th March you may experience issues validating or embarking GMRs with CDS declaration references – (Declarations submitted will be held in a queue until the service is resumed).
Given the short nature of the crossings, if issues are experienced, we are advising carriers on the short straits can temporarily switch off GVMS validation between 10am and 10:30am. Drivers should be advised not to travel to the IBF, and retrospective validation and embarkation activity undertaken when CDS is back online, after 10:30am.
HMRC have advised the CDS service may also experience degradation and messaging may be delayed due to this. Declarations submitted during this timeframe will be processed at the end of the downtime.
