BIFA & CNS Solent Port Community Meeting

Albacore Systems will be attending the BIFA & CNS Solent Port Community Meeting at Chilworth Manor Hotel, Southampton, on 1st October 2026.

This regional port community meeting will bring together freight forwarding, logistics, port, and transport professionals from across the Solent region to discuss the latest developments affecting the industry. The event will provide valuable insights into port operations, government engagement, digital transformation, workforce development, and the challenges and opportunities facing the freight and logistics sector.

Key topics on the agenda include:

  • Updates from BIFA and CNS on current industry initiatives and government engagement activities
  • Digital technology developments impacting freight forwarding and port communities
  • Updates on local port operations and future investment plans from DP World Southampton and Portico
  • Developments across bulk cargo, rail freight, cruise operations, and depot facilities from Solent Stevedores
  • Border Force updates relating to activities and developments across Solent ports
  • Training, education, and workforce development opportunities through the South Hampshire College Group and BIFA partnership
  • Industry networking and knowledge sharing with fellow freight and logistics professionals

The event will feature presentations from a range of industry leaders, including Steve Parker, Director General of BIFA, representatives from CNS, DP World Southampton, Portico, Solent Stevedores, Border Force, and the South Hampshire College Group.

Alongside the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry peers during the afternoon refreshments session and networking buffet.
