ASL Utilities

Since its first release in April 2004, ASL Utils has become an invaluable tool to us and our customers; incorporating hardware monitoring, antivirus check, connections testing, and a backup facility.

Connection Testing

The software encompasses user operated testing for both CCS-UK and CNS connections; this is especially helpful in diagnostics and early detection of faults.

Backup

From ASM Daily Info-Line:

“We [ASM] advise users to take a daily backup of their computers to enable full data recovery in the event of a system crash.”

Making secure copies of your entry software (GeMS or Datafreight) data is important and invaluable. Should your system fail an external backup of the data is essential for efficient recovery of your operation. ASL Utils offers an automatic backup facility, which not only creates a copy of the data stored locally, but also to an external store, such as the provided USB stick.

Hardware Monitoring

ASL Utils has built in hardware and software monitoring tools. These allow reporting of the system status to be displayed on the local machine and to our in-house monitoring systems.

Auto Print & Archive

ASL Utils can also be configured to receive, print and store MCP printouts. This is an automatic process, which is simpler and faster solution than receiving by e-mail. Click here for more details on the auto print and archive function.
